High performance masking tapes designed expressly for masking exterior corrosion treatments on large diameter steel pipes for the oil & natural gas transportation industry. This process involves very high pipe surface temperatures (450-460 F) for short time durations (1-2 minutes). The powder coat tape must come off the roll smoothly with no breakage, adhere quickly to the hot pipe ends, withstand the subsequent powder coating oven with little/no backing color change and remove easily at the other end with no residue left behind. CP 800, a high heat powder coating masking tape, is specifically designed for use on smaller diameter (~24" or less), thinner-walled pipes.
